Our Story
At Welch Equipment Company, our mission statement is “to be the premier destination in material handling solutions by advancing the success of our partners through providing effective, efficient solutions and elite customer service.” Duane Welch founded our company in 1985 with five employees, and in the years since then, it has grown to more than 250 employees and locations in four states in our pursuit of that same mission.
Business Units
Today, Welch is a world-class sales organization and so much more. In addition to our Core Products division (which includes forklift product sales, service, parts, and rentals), the company has grown to include its own Customer Support team, a Special Products division, a Technology Sales group, Mountain Power industrial battery division, Millwright warehouse design and supply company, and more. Each and every Welch division puts the same emphasis on proper training and the use of advanced technologies to stay ahead of the curve. Welch also takes that approach with its hiring process, where it attends job fairs and works with trade schools to bring in technology experts and technicians that will serve as the future of the company.

Our Partnerships
Welch began working with Raymond and Toyota Industrial Equipment (both of which are part of Toyota Material Handling of North America) early in its history. In fact, Duane Welch originally founded the company in order to sell Raymond products. The Welch Equipment Company still holds onto those relationships to this day, and although the company has continually expanded into new markets and product lines, Raymond and Toyota Industrial Equipment products remain at the core of our business.
